Patent Award – TCR
Published: July 2, 2025U.S. Patent 12,303,903
Analytical Sales and Services is proud to announce the awarding of patent # 12,303,309 for the TCR, or Temperature Controlled Reactor. This is the second solo patent awarded to Analytical, and third overall. Analytical received its first solo patent in 2022 for “Apparatus for Facilitating Photochemical Reactions” in regards to Lumidox II LED Arrays. The TCR, in combination with the Lumidox® Gen II Arrays, can keep assay temperatures stable with up to 40 times higher light outputs than previous generations.
Analytical’s newly patented Temperature Controlled Reactor (TCR) represents a major leap forward in high-intensity photochemical experimentation. Designed to maintain precise temperature control even under extreme (heat-generating) light outputs, the TCR enables researchers to perform sensitive assays without well-to-well thermal imbalance—unlocking greater consistency and reproducibility in results. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with Analytical’s Lumidox® Gen II LED Arrays, the TCR optimizes thermal regulation by exploiting fluid dynamics and geometric design.
What makes the TCR stand out is its innovative flow channel design. By adjusting the flow channel configuration relative to the configurations of samples within the reactor, and by providing strategically placed air chambers to alter the heat distribution in the system, excellent well-to-well temperature uniformity is maintained.
Whether working with biological samples or photochemical reactions requiring tightly controlled conditions, the TCR provides a scalable, reliable solution. We’re excited to offer this groundbreaking apparatus to our customers, empowering a new generation of high-performance photoreactor applications.
